President: Wendy Franciscovich
Current Position: Accountant (Internal Review Evaluator), ARDEC.
Wendy was treasurer the last two years and during that time she helped WID realize its goal of increasing its fiscal stature. With Wendy's guidance the Chapter purchased an annuity and a CD to increase the amount of interest our money was making. In addition to her treasurer responsibilities, Wendy co-chaired the Annual Picnic the last two years, with great success. She also assisted in many events such as the Annual Ginny Moss Golf Outing, Breast Cancer Lunch, Executive Brunch Series, “Bring Your Child to Work Day” and the Women's Professional Training Day. Before becoming our treasurer she volunteered her services as our Auditor for two years. She developed an activity sheet to track all financial transactions. This later was adopted by other WID chapters, as well as, other organizations such as American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) and NARFE. Prior to government employment she ran a private tax preparation business while raising her two kids. Wendy is a highly motivated and dedicated individual. She possesses a diverse background of experiences and a vision of the future for our organization. Wendy realizes the strength of any organization is in the leadership, the mentoring of new members and the involvement of everyone with a common goal. Top

Seeing the need for more women to be involved in the defense issues of our country, she became a member of WID-Picatinny Chapter last year and was on the committee that was responsible for hosting the Go Red for Women luncheon this past February. This year her plans include serving on the committee that will be hosting the Breast Cancer Prevention luncheon. In addition, she has been a member of the American Society of Military Comptrollers since January of 2005. During this past year, she has been serving on the ASMC Social, Golf, Chapter Fair committees, as well as chairperson of the membership committee.
